Is Maxie Getting a Nathan West Miracle – Husband Returns with a Stunning Explanation?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the writers seemingly don’t know what to do with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) anymore. Maxie’s saddled with a credit card debt storyline instead of something soapy and fun that fans actually want to see.

However, there might still be hope for the future, especially now that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) has been bringing up Nathan West’s (last played by Ryan Paevey) name again.

In the December 12 episode, Liesl reflected on her grief over losing Nathan and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

The loss of Liesl’s children has been downright unbearable for her, so she deserves to get at least one of them back.

Of course, that couldn’t happen in real life, but soaps are where the impossible becomes possible.

There have been plenty of deceased characters that popped up years later with stunning explanations.

Will Nathan West be the next character to make an exciting comeback?

It’d be easy for the show to claim Nathan’s demise was faked and that he’d been held captive for some nefarious reason.

The body in the casket could’ve been a lookalike, especially if a realistic Nathan mask was involved. As for any ghostly Nathan sightings, those weren’t necessarily real!

Regardless of how it might be explained, Maxie needs her beloved husband.

The show might have to recast and let someone else take over for Ryan Paevey, but that’d be fine as long as he was a good actor who had the right vibe.

Maxie needs a real love story again and a chance to do something besides worry about her bank account.

Since Maxie doesn’t have any good romantic options on canvas, recasting Nathan might be the way to go.

James West (Gary James Fuller) also needs his father back since he’s clearly craving a male role model.

It’s nice that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has been stepping up, but nothing could beat James getting to know his dad – and that could finally happen if Nathan returns in a shocking GH twist.

Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) would certainly love a family reunion with “J” aka Nathan as well, especially since she’ll need some support once all the SEC drama blows up.

Could Liesl’s talk about Nathan lead to a miracle for the people he left behind? Will Nathan West reunite with Maxie and his other loved ones down the road?

General Hospital spoilers say some surprises are always in the works when it comes to Port Charles, so stay tuned for updates on any Nathan return news.
