George Clooney is dishing it out to Brad Pitt!
The actor poked fun at his friend, collaborator and fellow Hollywood heartthrob in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, while also teasing their upcoming AppleTV+ thriller Wolves.
Joking about their onscreen reunion in an interview surrounding his new film The Boys in the Boat, Clooney, 62, said of his fellow Oscar winner, “Pretty boy Pitt? Yeah, he needed work. He’s an up-and-comer.”
He was then asked by ET‘s Cassie DiLaura if it feels like “no time has passed” between the two, who have starred together multiple times beginning with the Ocean’s films in 2001.
“It feels like a lot of time has passed. Too much time,” Clooney quipped.

Pitt, who turns 60 on Monday, became the first actor to hold the title of PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive twice in 2000, with Clooney becoming the second person to do so six years later.
The Bullet Train actor called Clooney one of the “most handsome men in the world,” past and present, during a September 2022 interview with Vogue, in which he also named Paul Newman.
“He’s right about that. Let’s face it. He’s right,” Clooney joked of Pitt on CBS This Morning that same month, after the latter made the comment.
“I think the truth is … the first time he answered it, he said himself,” Clooney continued. “And they said, ‘Maybe don’t say that. Do another take.’ ”

Wolves follows two lone-wolf fixers (Clooney and Pitt) as they are assigned to carry out the same job, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Both stars are taking on dual credit acting and producing the movie through their production companies. Jon Watts, who directed the three latest Spider-Man films, wrote the screenplay and will direct the movie.
Wolves reunites Pitt and Clooney back on camera for the first time since 2008’s Burn After Reading.
When asked about working together on another project, Clooney joked to PEOPLE in October 2021 that “Brad was obviously the cheapest of the actors available.”
“He’s a friend of mine and we have a really good time together,” he added. “I’m really looking forward to it.”
