‘I must be a lil toxic cuz I enjoyed cursing ya out today… but we not taking that into 2024,’ said the New York City native, whose full name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar. ‘Now have a good day. No make it a bad day!’
The Bongos performer later appeared in a Twitter clip Sunday in which she donned a white coat and a face mask while addressing the hostile exchange with fans.
‘So I cursed out my fans really bad the other day and today they put me on a billboard on 42nd street,’ the Grammy-winning artist said. ‘I don’t know if its Stockholm syndrome or we just have a very toxic relationship either way.’

Cardi referenced the nickname for her fanbase, nicknamed the Bardigang, in wrapping up her statement, saying she was confident in the people who support her sticking by her through tough times.
‘It just goes to show you that if you’re not Bardigang, you should mind your f***ing business,’ Cardi said. ‘Oh, you thought they were going to leave me?
‘They ain’t going nowhere B****! They ain’t going nowhere! And neither am I! I love you!’
Cardi, who shares two children with Offset – daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, five, and son Wave Set Cephus, two – was seen on Instagram Stories earlier Sunday detailing how she was dealing with a severe cold ahead of a slated performance at the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami.
‘I’m fighting for my life right now; I’m literally fighting for my life right now,’ she said. ‘I am so sick, and I don’t understand because when I was in New York, I was going out with sweaters, toes out, everything, I was good.’
She said she believed her health downturn could be a regional matter, as she does not take well to the mercurial temperatures in Florida.
‘I’m allergic to Miami, I’m allergic to Florida, I’m allergic to the state, it doesn’t even make no sense,’ she said. ‘I’ve been fighting for three days and I have a huge performance later.’
