A young African lady named Tobechi D has bagged a bachelor’s degree in Public Health at the University of Houston in the United States and is on track to earn her master’s degree immediately.
Tobechi obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Health with a focus on Public Health at the University of Houston in the United States. She graduated from the university with an honors grade. (Magna Cum Laude)
She shared her achievement of bagging the degree on Linkedin stating that she nis excited to be a graduate finally. Tobechi mentioned that her graduation is a bittersweet moment for her as the university has been instrumental in shaping her.
”Today I am officially a #graduate of University of Houston. This is a bittersweet moment as UH has been instrumental in shaping me,” she said.
While at the university, Tobechi mentioned that she had the opportunity to work with the Latino and Behavioral Health Research Team under the mentorship of Virmarie Correa Fernández, Ph.D.
She said she also got to participate in the 2023 PHLS Research Symposium as a result of it, she was competitively selected for the Undergraduate Oral Presenter Award. Tobechi also shared that she has been accepted to study for her masters at University of Columbia.
Tobechi stated that she will be studying for Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She said choosing the University of Columbia was a hard decision as she was blessed with many offers.
She expressed her gratitude to everyone who assisted, encouraged, and advised her while choosing a school for her master’s.
