Ryan Reynolds strikes a pose wearing slippers, while his wife Blake Lively takes on the role of a playful paparazzi in a IG moment

Ryan Reynolds displayed a unique fashion statement, blending business attire with bedtime comfort in a recent Instagram post. The 47-year-old actor shared a photo taken in an elevator, featuring him in a stylish three-piece suit paired with unexpecteԀ cozy bedroom slippers. The ensemble included a velour suit jacket, a waistcoat, a white button-down shirt, a striped gray tie, and matching black pants.

In the Instagram caption, Reynolds humorously credited his wife, Blake Lively, as his “Instagram boyfriend” and playfully acknowledged the slippers, writing, “Slippers by ‘f— it. They won’t see below the waist.’” The actor sported this unique look while recording an acceptance speech for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where his docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham, achieved significant success with five awards.

Reynolds, along with co-owner Rоb McElhenney, oversees the Welsh soccer club Wrexham A.F.C. and serves as executive producers for the acclaimed FX docuseries about the team. The series, nominated for six awards, dominated the Creative Arts Emmys, securing wins in categories like outstanding cinematography for a reality program, outstanding picture editing for an unstructured reality program, and outstanding unstructured reality program.

In the acceptance speech video, Reynolds, clad in the velour suit and slippers, embraced his Deadpool alter ego. Referring to himself as “Mr. Lively,” he humorously accepted the broken Emmy on behalf of his absent co-owner. Expressing gratitude to Wrexham and acknowledging the support from FX and Disney, Reynolds maintained his signature wit by teasing that Mr. Lively promised not to disrupt his upcoming Deadpool movie.

Prior to the awards ceremony, Reynolds shared photos of himself watching Wrexham’s soccer match alongside his friend and occasional rival, Hugh Jackman. Jackman, in a gesture of camaraderie, lent Reynolds his Emmy, which, amusingly, turned out to be broken. Reynolds shared the broken Emmy on his Instagram Story, expressing his love for Jackman.

Known for his stylish and sometimes edgy looks, Reynolds previously showcased a dark gray tweed work shirt from Gigi Hadid’s clothing line in December. The actor, who shares four children with Blake Lively, often coordinates outfits with his wife, as seen during a fall outing in New York City where they effortlessly blended autumnal colors for a stylish morning walk.
