Carly sits at her make-up table at home and looks at a photo of Bobbie while putting on a necklace. At her place, Felicia does the same.

Lucas arrives home and is welcomed by Joss and Michael.

Carly comes down the steps and embraces her brother. She asks how they will get through this. He doesn’t know, but they will.

At her place, Maxie talks to James, who is spending the day with Cody in the stables. Anna and Felicia arrive and they all share hugs.

Bobbie’s photo is put on the GH memorial wall. Laura looks at it, and Spencer shows up and they embrace.

Sam, Dante and Sonny make their way to the funeral together.

Carly gets a call, and rushes to Kelly’s. Liz didn’t expect her to come when she called. The storm the night before blew the Kelly’s sign down and it broke. Carly can’t believe this happened today of all days, and Aunt Ruby designed this. Liz says she’ll paint a new sign, calling it an honor.

Carly, Drew, Joss, Michael and Lucas arrive at the church. Joss tells her mom they are here for her, and she says she’s here for them too. They enter into the church and look at the photo of Bobbie on the altar.

Soon people begin to enter the church. Carly greets Sonny, Sam and Dante. Dante tells her that Bobbie was an incredible person and Lulu thought the world of her. Sonny tells Carly that he loved Bobbie and will miss her.

Anna, Maxie and Felicia arrive and look at a collage of Bobbie’s photos at the church entrance. Felicia says she’s with BJ and Tony now, and Maxie recalls Tony listening to BJ’s heart beating in her chest after the transplant. Felicia calls it a blessing that she carries that moment with her. They head into the church.

Willow arrives and tells Michael she’s sorry she’s late. She relays that Monica wasn’t feeling well and she convinced her to stay home.

Laura and Kevin approach Carly and Lucas, and Laura tells Carly that she’ll miss her mother so much. Carly thanks Laura for offering to give the eulogy.

Spencer and Trina tell Joss that they are sorry about her grandmother.

Tracy tells Carly that she’s so sorry for her loss, which is also the town’s loss. Carly was glad she was helping her handle Luke’s affairs with her mom. Tracy says she admired Bobbie for her dedication to Luke.

Lucy shows up, and Tracy approaches her. Lucy won’t get into it with her today. Tracy says whatever is going on between them, they should call a truce for Bobbie today. Lucy agrees.

Alexis and Kristina arrive. Alexis lights a candle for Bobbie, and Kristina remembers how much she helped her through the Kiefer nightmare. Alexis has a flashback to talking with Bobbie back then, who was also a survivor of domestic abuse.

Laura checks on Scott, who can’t seem to find the right words to say today.

Maxie looks over and sees an unknown woman, and asks Anna if she recognizes her. Anna doesn’t, but says Bobbie helped many people over the years and they can’t know them all.

The music plays, and Bobbie’s casket is brought in. After the opening prayer, Laura delivers the eulogy to her friend and her sister-in-law.

Laura calls Bobbie someone who led with her heart and was the most positive person she ever met in her life. She also was a fighter for the things she believed in and saw the good in everyone. She calls Bobbie an experience, one she will miss.

Scott speaks next and says he’s at a loss for words, which is rare for him. He doesn’t know how to memorialize someone like Bobbie, who had a special bunch of friends from an Aztec Princess to fitness guru Richard Simmons. Scott realized only today that they were meant to be best friends. He puts his hand on her casket and says he’ll miss her.

Liz stands up to speak about Bobbie, who she says took all the negative trauma in her life and harnessed it into something positive. She turned it into strength and healing. Liz says she was a helper and was the first person to offer her hand to anyone who needed it. She hopes to continue that at GH and make Bobbie proud.

Carly finally speaks, and talks about her unique relationship with Bobbie, who she didn’t meet until she was an adult. She admits she was a mess when she came to Port Charles, a schemer, and Bobbie was one of the people who changed that about her. She says Bobbie forgave her, accepted her, and laughs when she recalls Bobbie also told her she would never take her crap. She knows they were very different, but also alike, and she sees Bobbie in her kids. She says she loves her mother, and the world is a very different place without her.

The funeral concludes, and Maxie chases after the mysterious woman she spotted earlier. She asks if she knew Bobbie. The woman says her name is Angela Brighton (played by Brighton Hertford), she’s a reporter who worked with Bobbie and is doing a story on her.

Felix checks in with Lucas, and tells him how much he loved Bobbie and performing at the Nurses Ball with her. He says he’ll miss her, they all will.

Felicia approaches Carly and says it was a beautiful service. Carly thanks her for being a great friend to her mom. Maxie interrupts them with the reporter and says they have something important to tell her.

At Kelly’s, Bobbie, Carly and Felicia sit with the reporter. Angela explains she met Bobbie in Amsterdam where she was stationed and worked with her. Carly’s confused as her mom was settling Luke’s affairs. Angela reveals she was also working with an organization to help women escape human trafficking. Carly asks how her mother got involved?

Angela details Bobbie was working with an organization behind the scenes, and Bobbie confided in her about when she was a teenage prostitute and she herself was trafficked, though they didn’t call it that back then. Angela says Bobbie a pivotal role in helping numerous women escape. That’s why she wanted to do the article, but Bobbie couldn’t say much without putting a contact on the inside at risk. Bobbie was also trying to find a way to get asylum for a woman who was being searched for by many people. She has no idea if the woman safely made it to the US.

Carly steps out for air, and Felicia checks on her. Carly says she knew something else was going on, and who was this last victim her mom was trying to help and what happened to them? Felicia says unfortunately without Bobbie’s contact, they don’t have a lead, but Carly says they do.

Tracy arrives at Carly’s, and Carly says she needs her help. Carly fills her in on Bobbie’s secret work in Amsterdam and wants to make sure the last woman her mom was trying to save is safe. She wants to finish what Bobbie started. Tracy says she really knows nothing about this secret of Bobbie’s. Carly asks her to think back to anything unusual. Tracy says Bobbie snuck off a lot, and she followed her to a café once and thinks she went there often. Carly asks what the name of the place was.

Back at Kelly’s, outside Felicia thinks back on memories of Bobbie. Maxie and Angela come out, and Felicia hopes Bobbie knows she would have done anything for her. She tells the reporter she has kind eyes if anyone hasn’t told her. Angela says empathy is part of the job. Felicia decides to walk home alone and think about Bobbie. She tells Angela it was nice to meet her. Felicia departs, and Angela notes Maxie has a special bond with her mom. Maxie says she’s the best, and Angela feels the same about hers.

Maxie and Angela head inside, and Maxie says she admires her dedication to finishing this article. Maxie offers to arrange to set her up with people in Port Charles who knew Bobbie and asks her to meet her back here tomorrow and she won’t be disappointed.

Back at Carly’s, Carly tells Drew and Joss that she’s going to Amsterdam to finish what her mom started. They say they are proud of her, and nobody would be more proud than Bobbie.

As Carly heads out with her suitcase, Felicia arrives with hers and offers to go with her. Drew called her and told her what she learned. Felicia can help her as a former PI, and Bobbie gave her life meaning and she owes her everything. Carly says they better get going and have a plane to catch.

On the next General Hospital: The mystery continues tomorrow in Amsterdam. Robert tells Anna, “Let me make a few calls.” Liz and Lucy talk to the reporter about Bobbie. Liz says, “Bobbie never made me feel ashamed.” Lucy notes, “I guess I’m one very lucky woman.” Maxie feels this is something she can do. In Amsterdam, Felicia thinks she’s spotted Bobbie’s contact at the café. Carly speaks to someone about the other side of her mom she knew nothing about.

Trans men and lesbians would get IVF priority two years ahead of heterosexual couples under NHS plan – as campaigners slam proposals as  ‘grossly discriminatory’

Family campaigners have criticised as ‘grossly discriminatory’ plans to give trans men and lesbians access to NHS-funded IVF two years ahead of heterosexual couples. Under the controversial proposals, trans men – those born as women who now identify as men – will be automatically assumed to be unable to conceive, as will lesbians and single women. This means they will be immediately eligible for IVF on the NHS – costing an estimated £5,000 a cycle – if they meet the other criteria, such as a body mass index between 19 and 30, not smoking, being under 43 and not having a partner with a child from a previous relationship.
