A 35-year-old Nigerian-American man named Bello Galandanchi has been awarded the Teacher of the Year at Beijing 21st Century National Standard School in China.
Bello Galandanchi was born to Nigerian Parents in the United States. He spent his early childhood in Nigeria before he returned to the states to study for a degree.
Bello bagged his bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University, United States. After his degree, he proceeded to Zhejiang Normal University, China.
He obtained a Master of Business Administration at the university and moved on to bag his doctorate degree in Education Science at the same Zhejiang Normal University.
Bello was awarded the 2023 Best Foreign Teacher at the Beijing 21st Century National Standard School in China where he teaches primary school students in Mandarin Language.
He shared his achievement of winning the award on his Twitter pledging to continue dedicating his best efforts to his students and colleagues.
”I’ve received “2022-2023 Best Foreign Teacher” award at our school. Thank you all for your kind support and I will keep giving my kids and you guys all I have in the best possible way,” he tweeted.
Bello worked as a Multimedia Broadcast Journalist at BBC Hausa and also at the Voice of America before he settled on being a teacher.
