Jennifer Aniston ended hopes of another Friends reunion on Friday, but admitted the cast will be “family forever.” The 54-year-old actress, who played Rachel Green on the TV sitcom, said the 2021 TV special was her “swan song.” Speaking about friends on The Jonathan Ross Show, she revealed the cast keeps in touch and she still watches the show “once in a while”. Friends is arguably one of the most successful sitcoms of all time, running for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004, with fans clamoring for a reunion for many years.
The long-awaited Friends reunion made its debut in 2021, when the cast returned to the iconic set to commemorate the show’s history, 17 years after its conclusion. Joining her Murder Mystery 2 co-star Adam Sandler on the chat show to talk about the upcoming movie, Jennifer also reminisced about her time on Friends.
When asked by host Jonathan if there will be another Friends reunion, she revealed, “I don’t think so. I think that was it, I think that was the swan song. But you never know.« “Everyone stays in touch. We will never shake each other. Family forever!’ explained Jennifer. On watching Friends, the actress added, “I do that every once in a while. I’ll stand there and be like, ‘Huh, I don’t remember that.’”

The special began with all six actors returning to the sitcom’s iconic set, and Jennifer struggled to hold back tears as she hugged Courteney, who was clearly overwhelmed to return to the series nearly two decades after graduating. The cast visited the original soundstage – Stage 24 – where “Friends” was filmed, where it took over three weeks to reconstruct the iconic set 17 years after the final scenes.
