Judging by the look of her skintight black leather getup at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards, the red carpet isn’t the only thing Ariana Grande is working. With her hair slicked into a high, long ponytail, the singer — who opened the show with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj (who may or may not have had a wardrobe malfunction) as well as performing “Break Free” (also in really high, tall boots) — did not hold back in her biker-esque Moschino tube top, miniskirt and chunky belt.

There’s also nothing innocent about the Tom Ford thigh-highs worn by the star, who is styled by Sammy and Judy (aka The Kids). Also in Moschino was designer Jeremy Scott — in a bright yellow suit emblazoned with a smiley face — who is in his first season as the brand’s creative director.
