General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) is still reeling from the insults that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) — her supposed best friend — hurled her way on New Year’s Eve. Lois just couldn’t keep her mouth shut.
Feeling compelled to share the truth with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she let it rip that everyone had been lying to him. Throwing Olivia, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) under the bus wasn’t her concern at the time.
Likewise, the truth came out about Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros), and now Sonny is at just as much of a standstill with his marriage as Olivia is with her friendship with Lois. Will these two longtime friends — Sonny and Lois — find comfort in each other’s arms as a result?
General Hospital Spoilers — Olivia Quartermaine Is Out
If anyone knows how to hold a grudge, it’s Olivia. Her forgiving nature has only dimmed since she became a Quartermaine.
Her efforts to soften the family have often hardened her to the outside world — taking on much of their drama for the betterment of everyone else.
She thought Lois was the one person she could rely on to be in her corner no matter what, never asking questions.
Instead, she seemed to forsake their entire relationship for the one she shares with Sonny. Is there a reason for that?
GH Spoilers – Hint We’re Going Way Back
Lois and Sonny are far from strangers. They grew up together in Bensonhurst the same as Olivia and he did.
Olivia may have been the one to get pregnant with his child and lie about it for decades, but they managed to overcome that betrayal in the interest of their son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Sonny is fiercely protective of his children’s mothers. At the same time, he’s protective of his friends — when they are loyal.
In this instance, Olivia knew the truth and didn’t tell him. In contrast, as soon as Lois found out the truth, she couldn’t wait to share it with him.
General Hospital Spoilers — Shelter From The Storm
As though things weren’t already a bit strange with Nina’s bestie — Ava Jerome (Maura West) — staying at Sonny’s place, absent Nina, now Lois may be joining them.
This roommate situation could get a lot more interesting if Ava starts to suspect that Sonny and Lois are growing to be more than just friends.
Will she have the heart to share that insight with Nina, or will she prefer to protect her friend from the painful truth the way Olivia thought she was protecting Sonny and his family?
With Lois mending her broken heart over possibly losing her lifelong best friend, and Sonny licking his wounds over Nina’s betrayal, will these two find that mourning together is more fun?
