15-year-old girl breaks record as the youngest valedictorian of US high school, set to earn degree at 18 years old

Exceptional 15-year-old girl named Lexie Jones breaks record after she graduated as the youngest valedictorian of Thompson High School, Alabaster in the United States of America.She is planning to study Marketing in the university.

Lexie Jones, an African American girl is graduating not only as the best graduating student but also as the youngest to do so since the inception of Thompson High school.

She said she never expected to graduate high school at an early age even though she skipped kindergarten but it was after speaking with her counselor she found out about the opportunity.

“I just kind of took that opportunity, but it wasn’t something I ever planned on doing,” Lexie said.

Talking about her success, Lexie said she is excited about the new chapter ahead and has great expectations of what the future holds.

“I’m not as nervous as I used to be, I’m kind of more excited now. It’s like a new chapter and I’m just excited to see what comes next for my future,” she said.

She also mentioned how stressful her last days in high school were, and how she had to keep herself busy with studying in preparation for her final exams.

“These last few weeks have kind of been more stressful than other few weeks, I’ve had to study for my AP test and my final exams so, it’s a little bit more studying than other weeks,’’ she said.

She further stated that her busy schedule did not stop her from having time for herself and her fun times.

“But other than that, out of school I have been seeing my friends more often than I have before this and I’m just excited.” she added.

Advising other students who are planning to graduate early, Lexie said “It is important to make time for yourself”.

Lexie plans to major in marketing for her degree at the University of Alabama.
