Over the past week, there have been numerous rumours and speculations about the future of Kylian Mbappe, most of which suggest that the PSG star is headed for Real Madrid in the summer.
It has been confirmed that Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of the season when his contract expires. And even though there has been talk of Manchester City being approached by some of his representatives, all signs indicate that the French forward is headed to Spain.
In fact, earlier today reports went as far as claiming that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner had even signed a five-year contract with Los Blancos which would keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2029.
PSG president privately acknowledges Mbappe’s Real Madrid move
Although nothing is official and confirmed as of yet, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has privately acknowledged that Mbappe is headed to Real Madrid, reports AS.
Al-Khelaifi, president of the French club, was in Doha this weekend where he held several meetings with people he trusts, and in one of those meetings, to which AS had access, he acknowledged that “Mbappe has it done with Madrid 100%.”
Real Madrid have been very cautious given that the fact that both they and PSG are alive in the Champions League could lead to a future meeting between the two teams, which would put them in a very awkward position.
At the same time, though, Los Blancos were very clear that they could not wait until May, as happened in the spring of 2022, and for a last-minute twist to happen that could leave the club in the lurch.
Therefore, Real Madrid fans can now breathe easy, because the Galactico signing for 2024 is already a done deal and it is only a matter of time before the parties involved make it official.
