North West is officially a Billboard Hot 100-charting artist thanks to her featured appearances on dad Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign’s new album, Vultures 1.
Proud mom Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday (Feb. 21) to share a screenshot of the track “Talking” and its accomplishment, writing, “My baby!!!!”
Vultures 1 debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200(dated Feb. 24) with 148,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in its opening week (Feb. 9-15, following its Feb. 10 release), according to Luminate. At just 10 years old, North, the eldest child of Ye and Kardashian (who divorced in 2022), is now one of the youngest acts ever to reach the chart.
In December, North dropped by her father’s listening party for his Vultures album. At the event, she took the stage and lip-synced along to her verse. “I love it here / We’re gonna take over another year / It’s your bestie Miss, Miss Westie. Don’t try to test me / It’s gonna get messy / Just, just bless me, bless me / It’s your bestie Miss, Miss Westie,” she proclaims on the song.
Earlier this month, West revealed that his daughter was starring in the music video for their joint song, which North had lent her vocals for. In an Instagram Reel shared by the rapper, North can also be seen in a snippet from the song’s music video.
North sits, rapping her verse on the song as she gets her hair done. In another scene, she whispers in her dad’s ear as he laughs, both wearing grills as they smile together.
“It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie,” North raps on the song. “Don’t tryna test me / It’s gonna get messy / It’s gonna get messy / Just, just bless me.”
