Lizzo looked casual and comfortable in New York Thursday, but she didn’t let her low key outfit get in the way of expressing her fabulousness.
The 34-year-old donned gray joggers and a gray t-shirt knotted at the waist as she made her way through the city that never sleeps.
The Truth Hurts artist styled her hair in long, loose waves, and completed the ensemble with cat’s eye shaped white sunglᴀsses and black and pink floral slide on sandals.
The Grammy winner was spotted as she left Bravo Studios and couldn’t help but put on a display.
Lizzo posed up a storm and flipped her hair about in the sunshine.
She left them with a final wave as she stepped into the van that would take her to the next destination.
The hitmaker has been in New York doing a series of promotional interviews ahead of Friday’s release of her new album, Special.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the artist revealed that writing the hit single Rumors was a turning point that inspired her latest release.
Rumors, which was a collaboration with Cardi B in 2021, peaked at number four on the Billboard H๏τ 100 chart.
‘That was my f**k you,’ the About Damn Time singer explained. ‘And I was so excited and proud to put that song out because I needed to do that. I honestly needed it.’
The singer and songwriter has described the move as selfish, clarifying, ‘I very selfishly wanted a song with Cardi for a long time, and I very selfishly wanted to be like, “B***h, all the rumors are true, whatever you want to believe about me, and f**k you too.” And I did that.’
Zane treated the Grrlrs artist to a big surprise with a call from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
The enthusiastic songwriter suggested she and the guitarist collaborate on a tune of their own. ‘Listen, the song don’t gotta come out with me and you. We just got to do it. If we sat in the studio and we just worked… you play the piano, I’ll sing, don’t nobody got to know, don’t nobody got to know Chris.’
The Yellow artist replied, ‘I don’t mind people knowing. I’m not embarrᴀssed. I’d love people to know.’ Lizzo laughed as she answered ‘Whatever you wanna do baby.’
Lizzo is combing activism with her upcoming tour. The Good as Hell singer has announced she will donate $500 thousand to Planned Parenthood from proceeds. Ticket seller Live Nation has promised to match those funds.
