It was announced on February 6 that country music legend Toby Keith has died at the age of 62. His death came after a long battle with stomach cancer, which he was diagnosed with in September 2021.
The news of the “Red Solo Cup” singer’s passing was announced on his Instagram account. The post reads: “Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.”

The day of his passing, Toby Keith’s official Instagram account shared a video from his most recent concert in December 2023 at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. Unbeknownst to fans in attendance, the sold-out show would become Keith’s final concert ever.
As soon as the news broke about his death, devastated fans took to the comments of Toby’s final Instagram post. “It’s sad that it was his last show and nobody knew. 😢,” “The people watching this had no idea how lucky they were to be there,” and “RIP Toby. You gave it your all until the very end,” fans wrote under the concert clip.
