Dillian Whyte has revealed that he wants to make a return to the ring in November, and he has his sights set on a rematch with Anthony Joshua.

Joshua is preparing to take on Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday in Saudi Arabia as he looks to avenge his defeat to the Ukrainian from last September.

Whyte is hoping his fellow Brit can come through that fight to set up a rematch of their 2015 contest, which Joshua won via seventh round knockout.

Dillian Whyte wants Joshua to win so he can look to gain revenge after losing to him in 2015

‘I’m looking to come back in November in a big fight,’ Whyte told Sky Sports.

‘We have a lot of offers on the table at the minute. Obviously there’s lots of fights there. There’s Joshua-Usyk, I’d love to fight [Deontay] Wilder, I’d love to have another go at Tyson Fury again.

‘Joe Joyce and Parker is there, there’s Daniel Dubois, but my main focus is to get back at Anthony Joshua. I’d love to have another fight with him and settle the score. Hopefully he gets the job done against Usyk and I get another chance to fight him again.’

Given that Joshua is fighting in a matter of days, another bout with Whyte in November may be an unrealistic turnaround for him.

Therefore, Whyte could turn his attention to a return fight with Fury, despite the Gypsy King announcing his retirement on his 34th birthday last Friday.

Whyte was stopped by Fury in the sixth round at Wembley in April, but he has disputed the legitimacy of the knockout defeat.

Whyte has claimed he was ‘pushed’ and feels the referee waved the fight off prematurely

Fury landed a right uppercut, but then appeared to push Whyte to send him to the canvas.

Whyte has claimed that this caused him a significant injury, and he also feels the contest was waved off prematurely.

‘I’m very frustrated about the [first] fight because I was up against it from the start.

‘I got caught with a good shot, I was definitely dazed, and he pushed me over and I fell over, and tore a ligament in my ankle.

‘I’m not a moaner, I’m a warrior. And the bell went after the knockdown, they shouldn’t have stopped the fight. They should give you a chance to go to your corner. I want another go again,’ he added.

Although their first fight ended controversially, Whyte has conceded that he did not give the best account of himself as he was too passive in the early rounds. He has stated that he would alter his tactics if he gets another shot at Fury.

‘I’d be a lot more aggressive. Sometimes in life you make the wrong decisions at the wrong time. I was trying to box, I spent a lot of time over-thinking instead of being my usual raw aggression, bullish self,’ he said.
