SYNOPSIS: In “The Exorcism,” a troubled actor’s life begins to unravel during the filming of a horror movie. As his estranged daughter watches his decline, she questions whether he’s succumbing to old demons or if there’s something more sinister at play.
This upcoming American horror film, written and directed by M. A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller, features a star-studded cast including Russell Crowe, Ryan Simpkins, Chloe Bailey, Sam Worthington, David Hyde Pierce, and Samantha Mathis. Originally known as “The Georgetown Project,” the film underwent a title change as production progressed. Principal photography took place in Wilmington, North Carolina, starting in November 2019 and concluding in December of the same year. By April 2024, the film had been rebranded as “The Exorcism.
