Was Ava’s Confession To Nikolas A “Plan B” For “If & When” Sonny Finds Out About His Tampered Meds?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal fans were slightly shocked when Ava Jerome (Maura West) went to visit Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).

It’s been a hot minute since viewers have seen Nik, so that was a nice surprise; however, the confession she made to him during their visit caught many off guard.

General Hospital Spoilers – There Was No Real Reason For It

GH spoilers note that it was odd for Ava to visit Nikolas. They haven’t shared a connection in a long time, and popping in to say, “hi” just doesn’t seem to cut it. Especially considering their history.

Moreover, even though Ava doesn’t have many friends in Port Charles, except for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) it was even weirder when she confessed to knowing about Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) tampered bipolar meds. Why tell Nik of all people? Why even “get it off her chest”? It just doesn’t make sense.

GH Spoilers – Unless …

Telling Nik is part of her sketchy plan to cover her butt. After all, if the truth comes out about Sonny’s meds, and the finger of blame can be pointed in her direction (Ava has been known to do this before), she always has Nik and her confession to him to lay back on.

She could point Sonny in his direction, and he could reveal that she told him about the tampered meds and that she was looking into it so she didn’t cause the mob boss any alarm.

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine & Ava Jerome Were In Pentonville At The Same Time …

Further, was it a coinscidence that during the Monday, April 29 episode both Ava and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) were at Pentonville at the same time (or so scenes made it seem that way)? Ava was visiting Nik, while Valentin had a visit with Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure).

There’s been fan speculation that Valentin and Ava are working together, but nothing has happened on canvas to confirm this. Valentin tampered with Sonny’s meds, while Ava seemingly “accidentally” stumbled upon the information.

Still, it’s hard not to think the two are in cahoots, especially with Ava’s odd behavior and working overtime to isolate Sonny from those closest to him. As Ava gets closer, Sonny’s friends and family continue to distance themselves.

Ava might be in on this “tampered” meds plan all along. After all, taking Sonny’s medication to fall asleep also seemed way out of character (who would do that?) Taking the meds might have been a way she could “report back” to Valentin that the drugs were tampered with.

Going through the motions of finding out about Sonny’s dosage through the lab might also be a safety net; just in case someone notices he is off, Ava has the “receipts” that she wasn’t behind it via the lab tests and her confession to Nik. This will keep her in Sonny’s orbit and a way to still filter information to Valentin.

Did Ava tell Nik about the meds on purpose, as a “Plan B” if Sonny blames her for it all? Share your thoughts below.

Family campaigners have criticised as ‘grossly discriminatory’ plans to give trans men and lesbians access to NHS-funded IVF two years ahead of heterosexual couples. Under the controversial proposals, trans men – those born as women who now identify as men – will be automatically assumed to be unable to conceive, as will lesbians and single women. This means they will be immediately eligible for IVF on the NHS – costing an estimated £5,000 a cycle – if they meet the other criteria, such as a body mass index between 19 and 30, not smoking, being under 43 and not having a partner with a child from a previous relationship.
