North West, Heather Headley, Lebo M. Join Cast of ‘The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl’ Live Concert
The previously announced cast for the Disney+ special includes Jennifer Hudson, Nathan Lane, Jeremy Irons, Ernie Sabella, Billy Eichner and more.

North West has landed a high-profile gig as part of the cast of the upcoming Disney+ original special The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl. The 10-year-old eldest child of Ye and Kim Kardashian was announced as the latest addition to the star-studded line-up of the live concert special that will be filmed over two performances at the iconic Hollywood venue on May 24 and 25.
North will make her Bowl debut alongside the other two additions announced on Wednesday (May 8), Tony- and Grammy Award-winning Broadway star Heather Headley and Grammy-winning Lebo M. (The Lion King). The trio join the already announced cast members and Lion King franchise originals Billy Eichner, Bradley Gibson, Ernie Sabella, Jason Weaver, Jeremy Irons and Nathan Lane as well as special guest Jennifer Hudson.
A release announcing the show promises that fans will experience “life in the Pride Lands as a full orchestra performs Hans Zimmer’s rousing Oscar-winning musical score led by conductor Sarah Hicks.” The immersive live show will feature the beloved songs written by Sir Elton John and lyricist Sir Tim Rice — including the Oscar-winning “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” “Circle Of Life” and “Hakuna Matata” — which will be performed by the original cast members, Oscar-winner Irons (Scar, 1994), Oscar- and Tony Award-winner Lane (Timon, 1994), Eichner (Timon, 2019), Sabella (Pumbaa, 1994) and Weaver (Young Simba, 1994). Gibson portrayed Simba in the Broadway stage production and Headley played Nala.
The cast will perform some of the numbers for the first time at the Bowl show that will feature the Broadway production’s award-winning costumes, set design and innovative puppetry. Click here for ticket information.
North made her music debut in 2015 with a cameo in father Kanye’s “Only One” video and then popped up with a verse on her dad’s “Talking/Over Again” from Ye’s collab album with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures 1. In March, she teased her upcoming debut album, Elementary School Dropout, whose release date has not yet been announced.
