Woman Crazy shows off her $2M vehicle assortment and its will make you envious

Lady Gaga’s car collection is anything but shallowThere are a million reasons to love Lady Gaga and her extensive armada of automobiles is one of them

Lady Gaga turned 35 yesterday. The multi-award-winning, 124 million record-selling singer and star of A Star Is Born was, indeed, born on 28 March 1986. The New Yorker didn’t sit her driving test until she was 30, but she’s been making up for lost time these last five years.

She’s bought several blue-collar American classics and European supercars. Far from a Bad Romance, what a wonderful way for a blossoming car enthusiast to skim the top off her £230m fortune.

Lincoln Continental Convertible (1965)

The fourth-generation Lincoln Continental was ordered by Ford’s management to be the finest mass-produced automobile of its day – and it was mission accomplished. It became the US presidential beast between 1961 and 1977 and will always be remembered for JFK’s assassination. Originally, designer Elwood Engel (who used to design women’s shoes) penned it to be the 1961 Ford Thunderbird, but the concept was lifted for Lincoln and extended to 5.5 metres. This was the first post-war American convertible to have four doors and the first Lincoln since 1951 to have “suicide doors” (rear doors that are rear-hinged). Another statement piece is the power roof, which is stored under the electrically operated rear deck. It also had a rare vacuum-actuated vertically adjustable steering column. Its 7-litre V8 means Secret Service outriders could have a tricky time keeping up.

Ford Mustang (1967)

One of the first cars the artist formerly known as Stefani Germanotta purchased after passing her driving test in 2016 was an exquisite ivy-green Mustang with rally wheels. She drove this car to the launch of her fifth studio album, Joanne. Production of the original pony car started in 1965, so hers is nice and early. And while everyone remembers the Aston Martin DB5 in Goldfinger, not many remember that Bond girl Tilly Masterson’s character had a first-gen Mustang. Gaga had been rumoured to sing on the next 007 title track, with Ed Sheeran, but as that didn’t transpire she can console herself with this Ford.

Ford Bronco (1967)

Ms Germanotta likes to cruise around Malibu in her baby-blue resto-mod Bronco. This is a hugely desirable classic right now, no less for the dent she sustained driving it into the back of Mark Ronson’s Mercedes. Her car is up for sale at the moment for a jaw-dropping £88,000. It’s got a 5.0 Cobra HD motor, Ford C4 auto transmission with high-low shifter for the 4WD, Wilwood brakes and a banging Kenwood stereo. Cue up The Beach Boys… She shared the car with costar Bradley Cooper when taking breaks between filming scenes for A Star Is Born. She used a different and even more pumped-up Bronco for her desert-set music video for “Perfect Illusion”.

Lady Gaga proved she’s a patriot by singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in January. But, really, we knew that already because she owns this all-American muscle car. The performance-tuned Chevy Nova Super Sport, which she keeps in LA, had two V8 engines available when it was built: a 5.7 and a 6.5. The latter churned out 375bhp. It also had the option of a four-speed manual transmission and front disc brakes. She may be one of the world’s most innovative music artists, but she loves a throwback.

Chevrolet El Camino (1970)

Gaga enjoys having a Monster Ball in her black third-generation El Camino pickup, which is perhaps the prettiest truck ever made. It’s also one of the fastest, thanks to its bestial 350bhp V8. The singer-slash-actress had hers modified aesthetically, removing the door handles and all the badging, so it looks super slick.

Mercedes W123 300D (1983)

Celebrities in their blacked-out Chevrolet Suburbans are so boring. That’s why Gaga’s main car when she’s in her hometown of NYC and wants to go incognito is an unrestored W123 Mercedes in Biscayne blue. Respect. The W123 was a huge hit for the Stuttgart manufacturer in the late 1970s and early 1980s and they built 2.7 million of them. Many became taxis, because they were overengineered and indestructible. Gaga’s was imported from Europe and is an 87bhp diesel, so she probably struggles to fill it up in the US. She learnt to drive in a Merc, too, but that was in a rather dour 2013 E350.

Rolls-Royce Corniche III (1990)

Her ladyship owns two modern Rolls-Royce Phantoms, but the Roller dearest to her was the Corniche III that she bought in 2009. It was red and she named it “Bloody Mary”. At the time, this was Gaga’s only car. Also, she hadn’t passed her driving test, so a chauffeur was permanently retained. The Corniche was styled by Mulliner Park Ward in 1971 and enjoyed an uncommonly long production life of 24 years. The pop star was filmed riding in the back of the 6.75-litre convertible through Manhattan in 2012 en route to her perfume launch at the Guggenheim. Two years later, she auctioned the car for charity to benefit struggling musicians. The car went for £90,000, which was three times the estimate.

Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 coupe (2017)

As we’ve seen, young Stefani loves her classic cars. In fact, everything bar the Corniche and the F-150 were born before she was. But she does have some newer and faster sports cars for when she wants to escape the “Paparazzi”. She owns a Porsche Boxster and an Audi R8, but her favourite is her Lamborghini Huracán (she has Italian roots, after all) and she puts serious mileage on it. When Lady Gaga performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2017, she drove the 610bhp Lambo all the way there from Malibu to Houston and back again. That’s a 3,200-mile round trip, which, even with a 201mph machine like this, would take a while. The latest Huracán EVO RWD featured in the singer’s “911” music video last year, though a Porsche Carrera might have made more sense.

Ford F-150 SVT Lightning (1993)

One of Gaga’s most Instagrammed cars is a first-gen SVT Lightning, one of the original factory performance pickups. It’s a lowered F-150 with special suspension, a 240bhp 5.8-litre V8 and a heavy-duty automatic transmission. Ford only produced it between 1993 and 1995 and they’ve earned a cult following. Our hero’s spotless Marlboro red example is particularly cool.
