In the main event of the May 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton beat Tama Tonga to advance to the finals of the King of the Ring tournament. He didn’t have long to celebrate, as Solo Sikoa attacked him after the bell. However, before Sikoa inflicted too much damage, Kevin Owens ran in and took the fight to Sikoa.
Sikoa evaded a Stunner and escaped. Owens then stared down Sikoa and Tama Tonga. He raised Orton’s hand, and they stood tall to close the show.

Owens had been absent since WWE Backlash France. There, Sikoa and Tonga beat Owens and Orton when Tonga Loa debuted and interfered.
