วันที่ 28 พ.ค. 67 ความเคลื่อนไหว “หงส์แดง” ลิเวอร์พูล ที่ประกาศแต่งตั้ง อาร์เน สล็อต คุมทีพในซีซั่น 2024-25 แทน เยอร์เกน คลอปป์ เรียบร้อยแล้ว
ล่าสุด เฟอร์จิล ฟาน ไดค์ ปราการหลังกัปตันทีมลิเวอร์พูล ออกมายืนยันว่า จะอยู่กับทีมต่ออย่างน้อย 1 ปี และมั่นใจว่า อาร์เน สล็อต จะพาทีมประสบความสำเร็จอย่างยิ่งใหญ่
ฟาน ไดค์ กล่าวว่า “ผมยังมีสัญญาเหลืออีกหนึ่งปี ผมเป็นกัปตันทีมและผมได้แสดงให้เห็นชัดเจนว่าผมอยู่ที่นั่นเพื่อโค้ชคนใหม่ และมีความกระตือรือร้นในทีมต่อไป”
“แน่นอนว่าจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากมาย แต่ผมมั่นใจว่าเราจะประสบความสำเร็จอย่างมาก ผมขอแสดงความยินดีกับเขาแน่นอน และผมยินดีกับเขาและครอบครัวจริงๆ เราคุยกันเรื่องทีมและอนาคต แต่ตอนนี้ผมโฟกัสไปที่ทีมชาติอย่างเต็มที่”
