Earlier this month, Margot appeared in the new trailer for Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn), a new comic book action film that picks up after her character Harley has split up from the Joker (played in Suicide Squad by Jared Leto).
The new film will find the actress transitioning into the role of vigilante hero after Harley rounds up a group of female anti-heroes to protect a young girl who steals a diamond from the crime lord Black Mask, played by Ewan McGregor.
Margot is producing the upcoming superhero flick, and its director Cathy Yan will become the first Asian woman to direct a superhero film.

Margot was also featured in the thriller Dreamland, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April, though it has yet to receive an official release.
Her next project will be Bombshell, an exploration of Fox News CEO Roger Ailes’ harassment and abuse of multiple female employees, which will be released on December 20.
