Coco Gauff looked picture perfect as she posed with her family and the US Open trophy on the greatest night of her life in New York.

The 19-year-old, who entered the tournament as sixth seed, put in the performance of her life on Sunday to win her first Grand Slam trophy.

And among the media madness in the hours after the match, Gauff and her family had time to take part in a photoshoot in the grounds of Flushing Meadows, the US Open champion donning an all-pink ensemble.

Taking to social media to post the images, Gauff described her outfit as ‘Barbie’ – and admitted she was dreaming.

In the snaps, her mom Candi and dad Corey can be seen sitting either side, hugging their daughter, while in other pictures Gauff kisses the trophy.

It appeared to be a moment of relative calm among the madness of the day, after she had scooped the huge $3million prize by beating No 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka.

Gauff had previously reached the French Open final but had never tasted Grand Slam silverware until Saturday, but at the age of just 19 now has the whole world ahead of her.

Speaking on the court after her victory, the American paid tribute to her father – and admitted it was the first time she had ever seen him cry.

‘Thank you first to my parents. Today was the first time I’ve ever seen my dad cry,’ she told the packed crowd on Arthur Ashe.

It was an emotional day for the 19-year-old, but she took everything in her stride

‘He doesn’t want me to tell y’all that but he got caught in 4K. He thinks he’s so hard. Thank you, guys. You believed in me from the beginning.’

‘He was the first person I saw,’ Gauff added after winning the Slam. ‘That moment. I’ll never forget that ever. I’m so happy. That man has supported me through so much.

‘People always tried to tear us apart, saying he didn’t need to be in my box or he didn’t need to coach me anymore. Little do they know, he’s the reason I won this match.’

On the court, the emotions were clear for all to see as Gauff burst into tears after match point

Russia makes biggest advance in Ukraine since early days of the war, seizing an area half the size of London as Putin’s forces launch artillery and bomb blitz

Russian forces are advancing westward in Ukraine at a rate faster than any other time after the initial days of the 2022 invasion, taking an area half the size of London over the past month as the return of Donald Trump to the White House looms large. Vladimir Putin’s troops swept through swathes of Ukraine in early 2022 and were bearing down on Kyiv in a matter of days, but they were held on the outskirts of the capital before being pushed back and retreating further east. Since then, the 1,000 km (620-mile) front line remained largely static save for some minor offensives one way or the other – that is until Ukraine launched a lightning incursion into Russia’s Kursk region this summer.
