This once very likable character seems to alienate herself from fans these days as she continues to make demands. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) threw out a few hints last week that she’s knee-deep in traditions. Plus, she seems to live by an honor code. But it looks like her sister broke that code, which started the ball rolling on their estrangement.

Still, what Bold and the Beautiful fans find hard to understand is why Li Finnegan keeps bringing her son Finn into this problem. She seems to think that with her sister and niece in the picture, John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), is in jeopardy of some type.

But what could Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) or Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) possibly do to harm Finn in any way? It looks like Finn’s mom’s mindset is a bit different from most people when it comes to letting bygones be bygones.

Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Li confronts her sister Poppy again. But this time, thanks to Luna’s urging, Poppy stands up to her sister. It sounds as if viewers finally learn the real problem for this doctor when it comes to her sister. Spoilers indicate that her grudge partially surfaces during this battle.

Li Finnegan told the story to Finn about how Poppy ruined her job at a hospital years ago. She got her sister a job at a hospital gift shop, but Poppy repaid her by having an affair with the head of surgery. The guy happened to be married.

The surgeon was Li’s boss, and he blamed her for her instead of her sister. He first started taking her off shifts, and then she was eventually transferred to another hospital. So this irate sister blames her job loss on Poppy, and won’t stop reminding her that she lacks scruples.

At the time that Li told this story to her son, fans found it hard to believe. Her reaction to her sister’s affair, which happened many years ago, didn’t seem to fit. She reacted as if Poppy had an affair with her husband, but that wasn’t the case. Instead, it was with a co-worker, the top surgeon at the hospital.

So, this week on Bold and the Beautiful, an explanation for her over-the-top reaction surfaces. The spoilers suggest fans may then find some sympathy for Li Finnegan.

Li Finnegan continues demanding that Luna and Poppy stay away from Forrester Creations. B&B created a backstory for Poppy, that Luna told RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) for all the fans to hear. Luna’s mom is free-spirited and a hippie, which is how Luna described her mom to RJ.

Her mom is very creative and she makes jewelry. That’s the same thing that Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) did for Forrester Creations. So, is this a clue as to who may become the next jewelry designer for FC as Bold and the Beautiful rolls along?

But before this can transpire, Li and Poppy sound off and Li spills a little bit to her sister. This helps Poppy understand a bit more of what drives her sister’s anger.

Many Bold and the Beautiful fans wonder if Jack Finnegan (Ted King) is Luna’s father. That would explain the level of rage one sister demonstrates toward the other sister. It could also explain why Li acts so worried about having Luna around Finn.

Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that the decades-long feud between these two sisters isn’t over by a long shot. But as Poppy stands up to her sister telling her that Luna found happiness at FC, it sounds as if Li’s wall comes down for a fleeting moment in time.

Bold and the Beautiful dropped hints that led fans to wonder if Jack is Luna’s father. But that might not be the case. It sounds like Li Finnegan’s level of rage over her sister having an affair stems back to Jack. But not with Poppy and Jack, but with Li and Jack.

This doctor knows what it is like to feel the betrayal of a husband cheating and how it ruins lives. Bold and the Beautiful spoilers have Poppy sympathizing with her sister at one point. So, it could be that Li Finnegan’s rage grew after she became the wife being cheated on, even though it had nothing to do with her sister.

Maybe she could have gotten over it if she didn’t suddenly find herself as a betrayed wife. So, it sounds as if Poppy is also paying the price for her sister’s betrayal as well despite having nothing to do with it.

While B&B fans hoped for something juicy behind all this outrage coming from this doctor toward her sister, it sounds like the soap may go with something more mundane.

Li Finnegan is so steeped in honor and tradition. She won’t even allow herself to call her sister “Poppy.” No, instead she insists on calling her Penelope, the name their parents gave her.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Softening Up the Doctor for Fans?

Naomi Matsuda, who plays the role of Li Finnegan, suggests that her character reveals something to her sister. Then, fans start to realize this doctor is not as bad as she looks. In a recent interview, Naomi teases that while Li lets her wall down for a minute with her sister, it’s not over yet.

Who knows, Jack Finnegan might end up with more of a hand in Li’s anger toward her sister. But it looks like it’s more about her sister doing the same thing to the surgeon’s wife and family that Jack did to her and Finn.

Then, again, what the doctor reveals to her sister could have to do with Finn’s birth mother.  Maybe she’s desperate to get her sister and niece out of town before they can learn the truth about Finn’s real mother,  Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).

But when it looks like Poppy won’t budge, it’s possible Li tells her the painful story of Finn’s birth, along with the awful baggage now attached to him. This would likely draw on her sister’s sympathy. So, whatever Bold and the Beautiful has in store for Li Finnegan, it looks like this softens her up a bit for the fans of this CBS soap.
