Actress Anne Hathaway revealed the reason why many people were worried when she became the host at the Oscars.
For the first time in 30 years of history, the prestigious Oscar awards ceremony may not have an MC. The reason for this was the homophobia scandal of previously designated host Kevin Hart. After this incident, the Academy board encountered many difficulties in finding a replacement. One of the reasons for this is the pressure of being an Oscar host.
Having hosted the Oscars in 2011, actress Anne Hathaway shared the difficulties she encountered. She said that becoming the MC of the prestigious Oscar ceremony is not only a rosy dream but also a huge pressure from critics and audiences.

“When I stood on stage, everyone praised me. That was when I felt extremely confident in my abilities. However, after the awards ceremony ended, I realized I did very badly, a lot of negative comments about my performance appeared on social networks”, the former Disney star shared.
However, Anne Hathaway affirmed that she is extremely grateful to the Academy for giving her this opportunity. She said: “I was very lucky to be trusted. Even though I didn’t do well, hosting the Oscars has always been a dream for me.”
The 91st Academy Awards ceremony will take place on February 24, 2019 (local time) in Los Angeles (USA).
