The debut of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga brings us three years into the future and gives clarity on Naruto and Hinata’s situation.
We know that Kawaki used his powers to seal Naruto and Hinata in a pocket dimension. While even Boruto: Two Blue Vortex doesn’t focus much on this aspect, Chapter 1 of the manga briefly updates us on Naruto and Hinata.
There are brief scenes in the manga where we see Kawaki visiting the Daikokuten dimension, where Naruto and Hinata are in a coma-like state and time is stopped. Therefore, they are not even searching for a way out. It makes sense, as Isshiki’s powers suggest that they’re just waiting to be summoned.
It’s not clear how Naruto and Hinata will be rescued or their future roles. For now, it seems they won’t be part of the story for a while.
Fans of Naruto have been curious about the changes, including new designs for the characters now in their teenage years.
In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, characters’ memories are altered in such a way that Boruto’s own village is hunting him, prompting him to escape with Sasuke. The manga is simulpublished on Manga Plus and is also available on Viz.
