It seems not Naruto but his son Boruto has found a teacher in Jiraiya’s clone Kashin Koji in Sasuke’s absence.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex brought in a lot of treats for the manga fans, especially for Naruto fans. Not only did it see the titular character and son of Naruto Uzumaki working with legends like Konohamaru and Sasuke Uchiha, but now, it has also confirmed one of the fans’ theories that had been going around for ages.
This theory was none other than the young ninja teaming up with Jiraiya’s clone, Kashin Koji, as the latter will reportedly be teaching the new Uzumaki and making him stronger after Sasuke’s unexpected absence.
With each new chapter, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has been bringing about some surprising entertainment for fans, and the latest chapter, chapter 4 did the same as it confirmed the much-suspected partnership between the young Uzumaki and Kashin Koji.
A member of Kara, Kashin is a genetic clone of none other than the fan-favorite legendary member of the Sannin and Naruto’s mentor, Jiraiya. Since Jiraiya ended up giving his life fighting against Pain, Amado Sanzu created Koji to defeat Jigen.
In the previous chapter of the manga, fans saw Boruto summoning a toad, which is a power card for Kashin Koji since he is a clone of the long-dead sannin. However, since Jiraiya’s clone had gone missing toward the end of Boruto Part 1, fans were only suspecting his return.
While fans’ suspicions of the protagonist of Two Blue Vortex manga having met up with Kashin Koji during the time skip and the pair teaming up was proven right, this team-up was essentially necessary, especially for the Naruto fans.
Looking back, the fans who have been there from the beginning since Naruto Uzumaki’s era know what an important part Jiraiya played in Naruto’s life: not only was the long-dead sannin Naruto’s father’s teacher but also Naruto’s godfather as well as his teacher who guided him as he grew up.
So when Jiraiya died while fighting Pain, fans were devastated and were hoping for the student-mentor to miraculously reunite at some point in time. While that couldn’t happen, Mangaka Masashi Kishimoto found a different way to bring back the bond: by uniting Boruto and Kashin.
But now his return has been confirmed with the recent release of chapter 4 of the manga. Not only this but this update also saw the young Uzumaki weaseling himself out of danger involving the Ten-Tails Bijuu as the beast becomes aware of himself and uses his powers to clone the people trapped in its roots.
Furthermore, since Sasuke Uchiha is reportedly one of those trapped souls, thus, Kashin will be teaching and making Naruto’s son all the more stronger in Sasuke’s absence.
Thus, since Kashin Koji is Jiraiya’s clone, in a roundabout way, this can be seen as a way of having Naruto’s son experience his own training trip with the legendary sannin Jiraiya.
As for the future of Boruto in Two Blue Vortex: it seems unlikely that the titular lead will lose against Kawaki and Code if someone like Jiraiya’s clone Kashin has come to mentor the young ninja.
