Roger Federer and Serena Williams graced the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala. The former World No.1s had a lovely reunion as they posed together for the media. The tennis world was ecstatic after seeing them together in one frame.

The Met Gala takes place annually, on the very first Monday of May. It’s an invitation-only fundraiser event which is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It’s attendees list is unique as celebrities are invited from diverse fields.

Roger Federer made his second appearance at the Met Gala since 2017. The Swiss donned a sleek black tuxedo and completed the look with sunglasses. His recent title of ‘GQ’s Most Stylish Man of the Decade’ fitted perfectly with his ‘nothing but class’ outfit. He also co-chaired the event alongside friend and editor-in-chief of Vogue Anna WintourDua LipaPenelope Cruz, and Michaela Coel. The 20 times Grand Slam champion bid farewell to tennis at the Laver Cup 2022, after his knee surgery.

On the other hand, the 23 times Grand Slam winner Serena Williams made a stylish entry with her husband Alexis Ohanian. She also announced her ‘second pregnancy’ at the gala, as she thanked Anna Wintour for inviting the ‘three’ of them. The American also spoke to Vogue last year, regarding her break from tennis and focusing on her family. She last played at the US Open 2022, where her title run was cut short by Ajla Tomljanovic.

The epic meeting of the two tennis legends, Serena Williams and Roger Federer, has delighted fans all around the world. Seeing both of them in one frame after so long has made their dream come true. The legendary picture has garnered quite an amount of love and appreciation throughout the internet.

Roger Federer and Serena Williams both are being immensely missed on the court. The Swiss player, who retired in 2022, will be commemorated at the Wimbledon Championships this year. He is also is in talks to join as a BBC commentator, but nothing has been finalized. On the other hand, the American player has been on a break from tennis and made a major revelation about her pregnancy at the Met Gala.
