Speaking to Michael Fairman TV in a new interview, actress Annika Noelle, who plays Hope on the hit CBS soap, says that when it comes to Thomas Forrester, what you see is what you get, regardless if he’s being a ‘good’ guy or a ‘bad’ one. Annika also says that her character has finally acknowledged that she has feelings for Thomas and wants to be with him.

She said, “However, given his significance in her life (an integral part of ‘Hope for the Future’ as well as Douglas’ father) I think she wants to be extremely careful. She has been burned by love and is hesitant to jump in again. She needs to take things slow and thus far, Thomas has respected that.”

And because of everything that Thomas has done in the past, Hope feels like he has to completely change in order for her to be with him. Otherwise, there’s no point in them having a relationship. Annika explained, “That he is different. As she has said repeatedly, he has earned her trust and he has done the work. And try as everyone might toward her away, I think it just makes it all the more appealing. As her father Deacon [Sean Kanan] said… ‘love doesn’t always make sense.’”
