As The “CR7 Museum” Opens In Riyadh, Cristiano Ronaldo Cemented His Legacy

Cristiano Ronaldo has added another feather to his cap, further solidifying his legacy, by visiting his very own “CR7 Museum” in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the legendary forward shares glimpses of his visit to Saudi Arabia’s impressive facility on social media, he also shares glimpses of his visit to Kindgom’s Al Nassr club.

According to Marca.com, the newly opened museum contains match-worn jerseys, shoes, awards, and other memorabilia documenting every aspect of Ronaldo’s career.

The following is my story. My CR7 Signature Museum has now opened in Riyadh,” the caption on the museum’s Instagram account reads in a post co-authored by the footballer.

Ronaldo’s trophies and medals are displayed in the museum’s interactive exhibits, including five coveted Ballon d’Or awards. The exhibits give visitors a rare chance to see some of Ronaldo’s most memorable games and victories. Besides Riyadh’s unique facility, Ronaldo is also immortalized in wax figures around the world.

Madame Tussauds has one such wax figure. A wax replica of Ronaldo was also unveiled in Times Square, New York, before the 2022 World Cup. Zay Flowers showcased the “Siu” move after scoring a goal during the National Football League inspired by Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s touchdown celebration.

According to goal.com, the wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens is not the first and most likely won’t be the last to draw inspiration from five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo.

Flowers wheeled away in CR7 mode after lining up a penalty against a teammate posing as the goalkeeper. The Ravens selected Flowers, a native of Fort Lauderdale, as their 22nd overall choice in the 2023 NFL Draft.

It is important to note that celebrations around soccer are becoming a common occurrence in NFL circles. Erling Haaland of Manchester City, for example, saw Allen Lazard copy his meditation technique when the Green Bay Packers traveled to London in 2022.
